Our advocacy and education programs increase awareness and promote the prevention of domestic violence, sexual assault, and all forms of oppression.

Volunteer Opportunities

Dinner Preparation

Provide dinner for residents in our Safe House by delivering a home-cooked meal or sponsoring dinner from a local restaurant.

Gardening & Property Care

Assist with weeding, pruning, and maintaining our property, including entryways, parking lots, and common areas.

Donation Support

Help sort and organize donations, or run donation drives for essentials like gift cards and supplies.

Community Tabling Events

Represent Safe Berks at local events or serve on committees to help plan major fundraisers like Walk For NO MORE and Celebration of Peace.

Childrens Activities

Facilitate childrens activites and games like crafting, bingo, and painting.

Volunteer Training

Any volunteer activities with direct contact with survivors require completion of our Advocate Training program. This approximately 80-hour training is required by PCADV/PCAR for all staff and volunteers with direct client contact. The training is FREE and offered a few times a year.
